SOUND PLAYGROUND

Sound Playground is an immersive and artful meditative experience in which a live audience engages in deep listening and interactive art. Led by the sounds of flutist and wellness guide Jessi Rosinski, the audience members sit with music which has been composed out of collaborative conversation between Jessi and Emily, and are then invited into a response to their musical experience by making an addition to Emily’s canvas, creating a soundscape with found objects, loose parts, glue, colored pencils or crayons. The finished product is a collective, three-dimensional “Sound Playground.” Sound Playground premiered at New Gallery Concert Series’ 25th Anniversary event, Rekindle, February 2025.

BUG PLAYGROUNDS

Inspired by a preschool art activity, bug playgrounds display an act of empathetic and creative engineering - to imagine a fun and playful environment for our smallest creatures, and create the space both two and three-dimensionally. Along with traditional paint, these playgrounds utilize accessible and engaging materials often found in toddler and preschool environments - beads, paper, tape, pompoms and buttons.
